Jacob Savage is simply wrong. This didn't begin in 2010 or 2014. It began in 1970 when programs under the name of "Affirmative Action" began discriminating against whites, and especially white males, on a wholesale basis. He didn't notice it because it hadn't yet effected him. But I'm a boomer and saw it up close and personal beginning in 1970 and continuing until I retired in 2016. I saw it in academia. I saw it in the private sector. I saw it in the federal government. It has negatively impacted millions of people in admissions, hiring, and promotions for over 50 years and been an enormous waste of talent that entire time.
